Register for Twinkie Run 2023
The Twinkie Run was started in 2010 by Shawn Jyawook, of Jyco Sealing Technologies, Inc. The race is in memory of his employee and friend, Jim Mong, who passed away from ALS in 2009. Shawn and his wife wanted to do something to honor Jim's memory. As Shawn explained, "I wanted a great way to have something continue that was humorous, like Jim Mong's personality, and that linked into something that I enjoy- running. The Twinkie part is just funny and a great way to remember someone with a smile and not with sadness – and that is the person Jim was, a man of great humor and great compassion.
